Children have shown step by step process of man -made resource from natural resource.  They have created flow chart to present their understanding. It was a nice learning experience for them.

I see I think I wonder

“To acquire knowledge, one must study;
but to acquire wisdom, one must observe.”

Learners of PYP 1 took a gallery walk and observed everything they found on their way. They observed things like boards, sunlight, clouds, toys, paper, trees etc. Soon, they reflected their observation using - I see - what they saw during the walk. I think -What they think they are and where did it come from. I wonder - The questions popping up in their mind. It was an independent task in which learners have shown curiosity.

My dream city!!

Is systematic organisation impacts the way we live?

This conceptual understanding was showcased when the learners created their own dream city where they stuck different systems and gave reasons to the placement of systems that operate in the city.

Learners used ideas they got when they researched while taking interviews about the city and reflected well.

Hand span, Foot span became familiar words for the learners. They are well aware that measurement can be done without any standard unit. They measured various objects with the help of hand and foot span. They watched several videos on the same. Later they reflected on their learning confidently.
